Asthma Health Literacy Study

The overall goal of the pilot study is to test an adult functional health literacy intervention in adults from an urban community who are suffering from asthma.  The intervention is intended to improve asthma management by patients by ensuring information and materials are appropriate to an individual's functioning literacy level.

The role of functional health literacy as it relates to socio-demographic, clinical, intrapersonal, and behavioral factors over time will be examined.
