October 2007: NIH Launches PACE on NHLBI Website

On October 17 the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute made Physician Asthma Care Education (PACE), developed by the Center for Managing Chronic Disease, available worldwide via the Institute's website.

The site provides background on the theory and effectiveness of PACE as well as all PACE materials needed to conduct a seminar, including a series of videos to train seminar facilitators, a contact list of master trainers, and updated curriculum materials including a facilitator's manual, slide presentations, and handouts. The release coincides with the release of the summary of the new National Asthma Education and Prevention Program Guidelines, EPR-3. Clinicians, wherever they may be, can access the website and learn how to provide PACE in their communities.
